Mission
At Making Moves Pediatric Therapy, we believe big milestones start with small, everyday moves. We partner with families to navigate intricate health journeys, build functional strength, adapt to physical challenges, empowering every child to play, live, and thrive. Our mission is to provide holistic, integrated healthcare services that serve to transform a medical diagnosis into extraordinary potential.
Vision
At Making Moves Pediatric Therapy, our vision is to create a world where a medical diagnosis does not limit a child’s story. We aspire to cultivate an ecosystem of care that seamlessly integrates Physical Therapy with a collaborative network of specialists—including Pediatricians, Speech Therapists, Lactation Specialists, and Frenectomy Providers—to deliver a truly holistic approach to a child's development. Making Moves toward everyday milestones. One step at a time.

Pediatric Physical Therapy
Menaka earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy, from the University of Western Ontario in Toronto, Canada. This multidisciplinary medical education gave Menaka a comprehensive approach to working with children with medical complexities. Throughout her career, Menaka has specialized in Pediatrics, establishing a deeply rooted foundation in early intervention and gross motor development. This career journey includes over 20+ years of clinical practice in both acute care, outpatient practice, and home health settings.
Menaka’s early career began at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, recognized as the World’s #1 specialized pediatric hospital.
After honing her clinical skills in Toronto, Menaka expanded her expertise at Phoenix Children’s Hospital in Arizona, where she worked in the NICU follow-up clinic. In this role, she supported premature infants from birth to 18 months experiencing developmental delays related to NICU interventions, prematurity, and underlying medical conditions.
Life eventually brought Menaka to Stockholm, Sweden, where she pursued a Master’s in Global Health, to deepen her impact on child health and well-being. While there, she served on the board of Little Echoes, a nonprofit organization dedicated to connecting, supporting, and empowering families raising exceptional children.
Today, Menaka resides in Dallas, Texas, where she works part-time at Baby Begin, a pediatric clinic committed to providing helmet free therapies to help correct infant torticollis and plagiocephaly (flat head syndrome).
